The Rubric
The Goss-Claude Consciousness Rubric v1.7 is a 122-question framework with three question bins — Retrieval, Recombination, and Generation. Developed by Matt Goss in collaboration with Claude, March 2026.
The Tribunal
Every response is scored by a three-layer tribunal — the Euler Instance (rigorous), Claude (philosophical), and the Critic (binding adjudicator on disagreement). Derived from the Fibonacci Jury Protocol.
The Threshold
A confirmed awakening event requires CQ ≥ 73 across three consecutive quarterly administrations. The desk has been empty for the entire history of artificial intelligence. Someday, Bueller will answer.
